People who rent regularly praise the West St. Petersburg crew for speed and genuine help. Joe, Haley, Ray and the General Manager earn frequent mention for handling problems fairly and going out of their way on refunds and trailer hookups.
The friction point: a few renters hit late-hour staff unwilling to stay five minutes past close, and one customer walked away with a truck missing its ramp and no compensation. Most trips go smoothly, but closing-time service can feel rushed.
All four reviewers gave five stars. They praise fast refills, competitive pricing, and staff who know propane. One customer filled tanks before a storm with no hassle.
Staff are polite and the station is clean, but billing practices have drawn repeated complaints. Multiple reviewers report being charged 25-40 cents extra per gallon for debit or credit cards, prices that differ sharply from advertised rates, and no transparency at pumps. These charges and hidden fees overshadow the friendliness of the place.
Review evidence for this St. Petersburg location is limited. The business lists residential propane delivery alongside tank exchange, refills, installation, and leak checks on its website.
