Shoppers praise the staff's helpfulness and the competitive pet food prices, along with the convenience of the self-service dog wash and vet clinic on site. The store appeals to pet owners and homeowners but prices on bird and wildlife feed run higher than competitors like Publix. Customer service varies, with some reviews noting excellent staff while others cite dismissive management.

U-Haul Moving & Storage at Gandy Blvd

Staff here earn consistent praise for courtesy and speed. Roland's safety intervention on a faulty auto-transport trailer and Tara's intervention to honor a customer's quote from another location stand out as moments where employees went beyond their job. On the flip side, a handful of reviewers encountered dismissive staff or billing problems that left them frustrated, though these are far outnumbered by five-star experiences. The location handles high volume without much wait, and equipment is typically clean and roadworthy. Most customers arrive to rent moving trucks or trailers and leave satisfied with the transaction. Those who opted for propane refill or trailer hitch installation reported quick, knowledgeable service. One billing dispute dragged on for a week with repeated collection attempts despite a same-day return. Professionalism varies by staff member, but the standout team members (Roland, Tara, Bill, Mike, Alexis) create enough positive momentum that this Gandy Blvd location has earned a solid reputation in South Tampa.

Most visits result in friendly service and quick turnarounds, with several staff members earning specific praise for patience and going beyond their duties. However, a meaningful minority encounter serious friction: quoted prices balloon at pickup, vehicles booked online vanish from inventory, payment systems hold funds without releasing rentals, and return processing drags on. The brake controller installation is clean work at a fair cost.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of North Tampa

3.7(236)✓ Google-verified

U-Haul North Tampa draws mixed reactions. Regular customers praise fast truck rental, easy online booking, and standout staff like Dayna and Dana who solve problems. However, complaints center on inconsistent service, poor follow-up after failures (particularly with trailer wiring installation), unclear fees (including $15 late-payment charges), and occasional customer-service friction around language access. The propane service also draws criticism for hours posted online not matching actual closing time.

Staff like Thomas earn strong praise for patience and knowledge during rentals, and many five-star reviews note friendly, efficient service. But propane customers face recurring problems: certified staff often lock up the dispenser before closing, turn away customers, or claim staffing shortages, making refills unreliable despite posted hours. Billing disputes are handled defensively; one $400 charge was slow to resolve and customer service became dismissive when asked for simple written confirmation. The location excels at vehicle rentals and the core U-Haul services. Propane refills here are a gamble, and if you need to discuss a charge or billing issue, prepare for a tense conversation.
