U-Haul Moving & Storage at Tropicana Field

3.3(276)✓ Google-verified

U-Haul at Tropicana Field earns strong marks for speed and friendliness from regular users, but customer experiences swing wildly. Service is inconsistent and unreliable. When staff are working and equipment is up, refills happen fast, but most reviewers face hour-long waits, staff knowledge gaps, system outages, or outright refusals. Call ahead before making the trip.

Frank's Propane of Pinellas Inc

4.8(87)✓ Google-verified

Customers consistently praise Frank's for fast, friendly fills at fair prices, with staff like George earning particular credit for emergency calls and installations. The cash-only model draws repeat praise from those valuing a local, straightforward operation, though it is explicitly a trade-off some buyers make to support the business.

Teco Peoples Gas serves the St. Petersburg area with natural gas delivery and installations, but 61% of reviews are one or two stars. Customers report months-long waits for meter installation, inability to reach live staff, surprise disconnections, reconnection fees, and safety complaints. A handful of reviewers noted friendly emergency responders, but structural problems in billing, scheduling, and customer service dominate the feedback.

U-Haul of West Saint Petersburg

U-Haul of West Saint Petersburg

3.8(233)✓ Google-verified

People who rent regularly praise the West St. Petersburg crew for speed and genuine help. Joe, Haley, Ray and the General Manager earn frequent mention for handling problems fairly and going out of their way on refunds and trailer hookups. The friction point: a few renters hit late-hour staff unwilling to stay five minutes past close, and one customer walked away with a truck missing its ramp and no compensation. Most trips go smoothly, but closing-time service can feel rushed.

Two one-star reviews cite catastrophic service failures during and after hurricanes (generator non-repairs, refusal to diagnose), and one flags shock billing for lengthy diagnostic work, raising concerns about emergency reliability and rate transparency.
